chunky chalk
Kids create colorful sidewalk art with chunky chalk they make themselves!
This activity is appropriate for:
preschool-3rd grade / 3-8 years
You will need:
- Plaster of Paris
- Plastic bowl
- Small paper cups
- Craft Sticks
- Lakeshore Fully Washable Liquid Tempera - Pints
Directions
- Pour 1 cup of plaster into a plastic bowl.
- Mix 2 heaping spoonfuls of washable tempera paint into the plaster and stir with a craft stick.
- Slowly stir in water until the mixture is thick and pasty. Next, pour the mixture into paper cups. Allow to harden for a few hours.
- Tear away the paper cups and kids are ready to create sidewalk art that washes right off!
